I have a niece (also goddaughter) HELENA with H, teenager, who lives in Spain and loves to travel.
From an early age she showed interested in photography and writing (must run in the family :)).
I am very proud of her, more than talented, she’s a really sweet person.
Last Christmas she made a trip with her family to Miami.
Here I share, “in her voice,” tips and impressions of Miami.
“Since it was little I always wanted to go to USA, and this year I’ve finally made it.For my parents it was hard to choose the city to visit, but I am know sure we’ve picked the right one.
What made us choose Miami was the climate, the time of the year (Xmas), advices from friends and family that live there.
There, we spent five days that I can only describe as exciting and magical.
What I liked most?
I can not decide what I liked most about this amazing city; if the skyscrapers of Downtown, colorful Art Deco buildings in South Beach, or the heavenly beaches of Miami Beach, because absolutely enjoyed everything I saw.
When visiting Miami Beach, make sure to walk most of the main streets. In one morning, you can really see and enjoy the luxurious hotels and cars, restaurants, cool streets or shopping malls; it’s a very interesting atmosphere.
Personally, I would also recommend visiting Key Biscayne, south of Miami Beach.
There the beach is almost deserted, and there are stunning views of the city.
The perfect time to go would be about four in the afternoon to watch the sunset and can make nice pictures.
Out of Miami, if you’ve rented a car, I suggest seeing The Everglades. I saw them at Sawgrass, Weston: A 30 minute tour boat with amazing natural landscape. I even got to see crocodiles!
The only thing I disliked in my trip was the food which was characterized by being mainly fast food.Despite that, I can say it has been an almost perfect trip.
To sleep?
We stayed in these apartments, called One Broadway located on Brickell (Downtown Miami).
They were very well located and were very comfortable.
And finally, my advice for shopping lovers; visit the Sawgrass Mills Mall in Weston, which is an outlet mall (the largest in USA), and contains all known stores at a very affordable price. ”
“Obrigada” Helena.
Big Kiss from your proud aunt
